EDUCATION
In June 2007 I graduated with honors from McNaughton High School in Moosomin, Saskatchewan, where I received my grade twelve diploma.
I am presently enrolled in my first year at the University of Regina, where I am working towards a Bachelor of Education with a Secondary major in Mathematics and a minor in Special Education in Regina, Saskatchewan. I consider myself to be a compassionate and caring person, a positive role model, encouraging teacher and an enthusiastic learner.
AWARDS
The Fruin Trophy, an aggregate award for the junior class in 2000 from the Moosomin & District Agricultural Society Fair for baking abilities, artistic abilities, and horticultural abilities. In 2001, I received the Science award for academic excellence in Science. I was also on the Honor Role for having an academic average over eighty-five percent
I received the Senior Class Aggregate Award in 2001, sponsored by Roy and Phyllis Sweet, from the Moosomin & District Agricultural Society Fair.
In 2002 I was on the Honor Role for high academic excellence, and received a subject award for Health.
In grade eight, 2003, I was awarded the Diligence Award. And I was on the Honor Role.
In 2004, I was awarded the Marquis Leadership Award, the Arts Education Award, one of the top twenty-five participants in our entire school, and was placed on the Honor Role. In the spring, I performed in our high school senior drama play; where we took top honors in our regional competition and went on to receive numerous awards at the Provincial Drama Festival in North Battleford.
In 2005, I was on the Honor Role and named one of the top twenty-five participants in our entire school. I performed in our senior drama play, where we received second place at our regional drama festival.
In 2006, I was on the Honor Role and was named fourth for the top twenty-five participants in our school. I was awarded a certificate of merit for acting at the regional drama festival, and we came in second at the provincial level. In 2007, I received an Acting Award of Excellence at the Region One Drama Festival for my part as Dr. Bill. Our play was also awarded first place and received the honor to participate at the University of Regina for the provincial competition. I was named a top twenty-five participant in my school placing second. I was also on the Honor Role for having an above 85% average in my grade twelve year. I received the Senior Drama Award for my participation and dedication to my high school drama club. At our graduation ceremonies I was awarded with the Female Leadership Award, Moosomin School Division Scholarship, SADD award, Moosomin Kinsmen and Kinette’s Scholarship and the T.S.A and Margaret Clendening Scholarship. I was also awarded a Centennial Merit Scholarship for Academic Achievement from the University of Regina and Saskatchewan Learning.
WORK EXPERIENCE
Spring 2007-Fall 2007 Maintenance worker, Moosomin Regional Park, Moosomin, Saskatchewan
Toll gate operator, cutting grass, cleaning bathrooms, watering flowers, test water, collect camping fees, sell wood, bank balances and deposits in addition to general maintenance. The people that had ownership of the store for the summer left without warning and it was too late to find others to run it as well as too early to close it for the summer, so I took over the running and organizing of the park store for the last month of the summer. At the store I organized schedules, menus, pancake breakfasts, supper specials, prices, grocery items as well as purchased and received grocery orders. I also received and prepared orders, dealt with customers along with great amounts of money.

Preparing future day’s bakery order, preparing bakery order, baking order, packaging orders, decorating cakes, cleaning, and interacting with customers.

Taking and preparing food orders, pumping gas, and dealing with money.
September- October 2004 Receptionist’s aide at Miller Farm Equipment, Moosomin, Saskatchewan
File invoices, photocopying, and faxing.
VOLUNTEER EXPERIENCE
- Safety Patrol- 2000- 2001. Helped elementary students safely cross the streets at noon and afterschool
- Concession worker (2003-2004) I sold concession items at lunch and during tournaments while in control of money and maintaining quick computational skills
- Junior Drama- 2000 to 2007 (September- December). In 2000 through 2003 I acted in their productions where I was a role model to the younger students, worked in a large group to create a masterpiece, acted large parts in front of crowds and participated in a competition. 2004 throughout 2007 I help lead and direct practices, helped actors individually, was a senior acting role model for them, a backstage advisor as well as running crew.
- Student Representative Council (grade representative, junior representative, senior representative, and vice-president) 2003 to 2007. Promote school spirit for all ages, create unity and pride within the school, organize school events, a leader to entire school and community, speak publically in school and community plus I was the head of fundraising and was often in control of meetings and various functions.
- Senior Drama- 2003 to 2007 (January- April). I took on large roles with responsibility as a leader, was a leader to younger students, help with set design, show various aesthetic abilities, work with youth and peers in large groups to create a masterpiece to compete in competitions.
- SADD- (2001 to 2007). I was a role model to school and community, volunteered at various community events and services, create awareness and concern of actions, participated in a group with many youth and I organized motivational speakers, functions and events for the students and public.
- Junior Golf (September- October 2003). Practiced twice a week and then competed both as an individual and as a team.
- Senior Golf (September to October 2005-2006). Practiced twice a week and attended tournaments where I competed as an individual and as a team member.
- In October 2004 and 2006, I donated and participated in the CIBC Run for the Cure, raising money for breast cancer research.
- Angels Anonymous (December 2004-2006). I worked with other youth to wrap Christmas gifts for needy children in my local community while ensuring that names were kept confidential.
- Yearbook (editor) 2006-2007
- In my grade twelve year I tutored a girl in Mathematics 10 where I helped her review entire course for final exam, prepare study notes, assist with homework. As well I also tutored a young girl with grade eight Math where I assisted her with her everyday homework and helped prepare her for test.
- I volunteered in the Diversity Education classroom at McLeod Elementary School in Moosomin everyday for one hour from September to December 2006. I assisted in preparing various learning tools, assisted students on a one-to-one with various learning difficulties, plus working with small groups of children.
- Grad Committee-Head of Fundraising (May 2006- June 2007). Working with peers and parents to organize fundraisers to help raise funds for our graduation ceremony, handle large sums of money and keep track of attendance and participation.
- Tutoring a boy with Math 110 (September 2007- present) I assist this boy with his weekly assignments and help him study for quizzes and tests.
